The Merit Group has been successful for over 30 years specializing in Medical Pins, Allied Health Pins, Nursing Pins, Service and Recognition Pins and many other Trade and Technical School pins and emblems.

In the 1970’s there was a growing popularity of proprietary schools and for-profit schools along with an expanding number of enrolled students. The Merit Group was called upon to produce new product lines including college rings, medical and graduation pins and other award and incentive items. At the time gold was freed from government mandatory controls, it rose from $35 per ounce to $850 per ounce. In response to the increase, we introduced special alloys for our lapel pins, which made our products more affordable for the schools and the students.

Since our company’s inception, we have supported thousands of organizations, schools and educators with affordable lapel pins. We have continually aspired to improve the Merit Group and its products, which inspired us to work with and develop recognition and motivational lapel pin programs that helps increase student retention. These programs are extremely effective in slowing and even halting student drop-out rates.

Our Mission: to help schools encourage students to stay on course, and keep students enthusiastic and focused in times during which they may otherwise derail from their path of success, or succumb to self-sabotage of their education.
